Jack Dempsey Franks

September 12, 1922 - April 10, 2016

Jack Dempsey Franks, 93, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, April 10, 2016.  He was a WWII veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Ronnie Franks and wife Linda of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Chad Franks and wife Vanda of DeRidder, LA, Tara Franks Cudd and husband Craig of Moss Bluff, LA, and Angela Franks Jackson of DeRidder, LA; great grandchildren, Payge, Macy, Abie, Alex, Mallory, Lane, Aryanna, and Violet; and brother, James Everett Franks of Lumberton, TX.  He was preceded in death by his wife Alva Smith Franks; and parents, Edgar Walter and Ida Estella Franks; sisters, Evelyn and Freddie; and brothers, Ruel, Digger, Ocie and Monk .

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Boxwood Church of Christ in Bivens, LA.  Funeral service is Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10:00am at Boxwood Church of Christ.  Burial will follow at Bivens Cemetery.
