Irvin Clark, a beloved family man, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on November 8, 1940, in Singer, LA, Irvin spent his life working hard as a logger in the forestry industry and cherishing every moment spent outdoors.
Irvin was known for his love of the land and the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed baling hay with his son and was often found sitting on his front porch, sipping coffee as the sunrises, never heading inside before dark. His warmth, laughter, and love for his family were the hallmarks of his life, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Edith Ann Lange Clark; sons, Jimmy Clark (Paula), Larry Clark, Thomas Clark (Sherry) daughters, Christy Sheppard (Stanley), Mary Fontenot, Kimberley Reider, and Renee Burge (James) ; twenty grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who together will carry on his legacy of love and dedication to family.
Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Glennie Buxton Clark; sisters, Rosemary Clark, Geraldine Clark, Maurene Clark; grandsons, Clint Shepard and Brad Shepard.
A public viewing will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location. Michael Clark will officiate the service. Irvin will be laid to rest following the service at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer, LA.

Irvin's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed.
