Hamilton Clay Brown

Hamilton Clay Brown, 59, of Ragley, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

The oil and gas industry suffered a great loss this week. Hamilton Clay Brown was an all-star pipe liner. He learned the trade from his father, who he worked with side by side for a great portion of his career. He was a heavy machine operator within the industry for most of his life. Clay’s work brought him all over the country and overseas. He was never more at home than when he was on the road. He was a graduate of SBHS, Class of 1981. His career and his work brought a number of lifelong friends across his path. Clay had a heart for his four children and six grandchildren. He will be truly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Ashley Dunagan of Longville, LA, Collin Clay Brown and Alex of Lake Charles, LA, Erin Hennigan and Chris of DeQuincy, LA, Connor Lane Brown of Reeves, LA; mother, Wren Brown of Ragley, LA; sisters, Moneen Fontenot and Tim of Ragley, LA, Tammy Pinder of Caddo Mills, TX, Michelle Craft and Kelly of Ragley, LA; grandchildren, Emma Jade Manuel of Alaska, Ivan Sailor Morrow of Longville, LA, Clayton Henry Morrow of Longville, LA, Sullivan Brown of Lake Charles, LA, Hadley Hennigan of DeQuincy, LA, Emerson Doyle of DeQuincy, LA; faithful companion, Rusty and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, H.C. Brown; grandson, Jack Gunner Morrow; son-in-law, Kenneth Morrow; grandparents, Idella and T.S. Granberry, Clayton and Eva Brown.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at Magnolia Baptist Church in Ragley, LA. Brother Kelly Craft and Brother David Free will officiate the service.
