Gwendolyn Bass Simmons 56, passed from this life on Monday, April 19, 2010 in Nashville, TN.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Grace Church in DeRidder, LA.  Rev. George Glass, Jr., Rev. George Lee Glass and Rev. James Glass will be officiating.  Interment will be at New Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA

Gwen is survived by her husband Scooter Simmons; sons: Rusty Simmons and Ritchie Simmons; mother: Bettye Bass; brother: Michael Bass; sister: Debbie Lewis.

She is preceded in death by her father Orville Bass.
