George Mayes, 63, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed from this life on Sunday, January 23, 2011 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in DeRidder. Rev. George Harris officiated. Interment followed at Community Cemetery in DeRidder.
Mr. Mayes is survived by Son: George Mayes, Jr. of Long Beach, CA; Daughters: Franzena Mayes of Long Beach, CA, Marlana M. Holly of El Paso, TX; Brothers: Frank Mayes of DeRidder, LA, Daniel Mayes of Lake Charles, LA; Sisters: Isadora Piper of DeRidder, LA, Rosie Jackson of DeRidder, LA.
Preceded in death by Wife - Nellie Mayes; Brother - Ernest Hayes; Mother - Verda Mayes; Father - Horace Mayes.
