George Melvin Eaves, 80, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Monday, December 13, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are loving wife of fifty-nine years, Darlene Eaves of Merryville, LA; sons, Michael Eaves and Kelly, Mark Eaves, Gregory Eaves and Kristi, all of Merryville, LA; brothers, Raymond Eaves of Merryville, LA, James “Pud” Eaves of Greenville, TX, Dan Eaves and Brenda of Merryville, LA; sisters, Marilyn Warden of DeRidder, LA, Gloria Midkiff and Willis of Port Arthur, TX, Pauline Stanford and Stuart of Rosepine, LA; grandchildren, Krysti Sincore and Eric, Nicole Babin, Elizabeth Roberts and Jesse, Cody Eaves and Krystal, Michael Stelly and Laura, Taylor Eaves, Tori Eaves; ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Minnie Eaves; brother, John Eaves.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at First Apostolic Church of Merryville in Merryville, LA. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 also at First Apostolic Church of Merryville. Brother Jeff Smith and Brother Guy Snyder will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Rodney Farris, Glenn Alexander, Joe Eaves, Seth Snyder, Michael Stelly. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
