George Arthur Bivens

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Arthur Bivens, who departed this life on August 13, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on May 24, 1938, in Reedley, California, to Arthur and Helen Bivens. George lived a life rich with adventure, laughter, and the love of family and friends.

 A true outdoorsman at heart, George had an insatiable need for speed, and was often found exploring the open road or fishing by the water’s edge with rod in hand. He possessed a deep passion for CB radios, where he cherished connecting with others and sharing stories. His love for music brought joy not only to himself but to those around him, creating warm memories wherever he went. Animals held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed every moment spent in their company. His family was the center of his universe, and he took great joy in spending time with them, instilling values of love, kindness, and community in all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his companion Robie Bivens, children: Raine Bivens, Pam Lego, and Tommy Bivens, and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

George is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Margie Hayes and Donna Ballard.

Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home, and a private service will be held at a later date for family to honor and celebrate George’s remarkable life. He will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered in the hearts of all who loved him.
