Freddie Ruth Green Deason

Freddie Ruth Deason, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, in Deridder, Louisiana, at the age of 71. Born on July 28, 1954, in Vidor, Texas, to Fred and Verlon Green. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, culinary talents, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. 

Freddie graduated from high school and dedicated herself to a fulfilling career as a clerk in the retail industry. Her vibrant spirit shone through not only in her work but also in her passion for cooking and sharing meals with friends and family. Freddie had a special love for the beach, where she enjoyed the sun, the sounds of the water, and most of all the sunsets. She always cherished the moments spent with her family, and feeding the squirrels while sitting on her porch.

 She is survived by her cherished children, Kristy Deason and William Deason and wife Brandi, three grandchildren Christian Deason and wife Issabella, Gabby Olson, and Weston Deason, Two Greatgrandchildren Carsyn Deason and Chayce Deason, her sister-in-law Mary Green, and niece/nephews Heather Tanner and Sam Simons. Freddie's legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby Lee Deason Sr, son Bobby Lee Deason JR, Stepdad Charlie Root, Brother David Green, and Niece, Donna Green. Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home. With a Private Family Service on a later date.

In this time of sorrow, we remember Freddie for the unconditional love she gave and the joy she found in bringing people together. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
