Yoakum, Texas

Frank Barry Lee, a dedicated aviation enthusiast and beloved brother and uncle, passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on March 8, 1958, in Georgia, Frank found his calling in the sky and spent his life immersed in all things aviation. As an Airline Transport Pilot and certified airplane mechanic, he excelled in his field, proudly working for Commercial Airlines and the State of Georgia conducting powerline inspections.

Frank was a man who loved adventure and the outdoors. In the early 1970s, he hiked the western part of the Appalachian Trail with his brother Tommy, and together they shared a passion for traveling. He particularly enjoyed visits to the Smoky Mountains, the beaches of Daytona Beach and Panama City Beach in Florida, and memorable trips, including one to the gravesite of Billy Graham in North Carolina.

A true sports fan at heart, Frank cheered passionately for the Georgia Bulldogs and the LSU Tigers, making numerous trips to catch their games. His love for football started in childhood, as he played the sport throughout high school and elementary.

Frank is survived by his brother, Thomas Gerald Lee and wife, Rebecca of Dallas, GA; sister, Linda Woytek and husband, Ronald of Hallettsville, TX; nieces and nephews, Jacob, Leah, Hannah, Joshua, Olivia, Ashley, Matthew and a host of other family and friends, who will remember him fondly for his laughter, love for life, and his unwavering spirit.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Lee, Jr. and Geraldine Smith Lee.

A graveside service will be held at Beauregard Cemetery on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Frank's life, share stories, and honor the legacy he leaves behind. He will be dearly missed but will forever soar in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
