Fairy Mae Granberry, 90, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, August 30, 2021.

Fairy Mae Granberry was born to Julius and Claudia Granberry on July 24, 1931. She graduated high school in May of 1948. She later moved to Lake Charles in 1957 and worked for LA Savings formerly Calcasieu Building and Loan. She retired October 15, 1980 and moved back to DeRidder in July of 2013. Fairy loved to read and collect cookbooks, take daily walks with her guard dogs, Bailey and June, and go to the spa. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Rodney Granberry and Janis of DeRidder, LA; nephews, Rex Granberry and Beverly, John Granberry and Rachel all of DeRidder, LA and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Claudia Granberry; brother, Stanford Granberry; sisters, Betty Jo Cryar, Louise Varner.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Charles Miller will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
