Emma Louise (Davis) Frusha loving Mother, Grandmother, Wife and Nurse 88 was peacefully called home on May 13, 2025.
She was born on August 7, 1936, in Yazoo County, MS to Grover and Elsie Davis. she is preceded in death by her Parents, Brother, J.W. Davis, Sisters, Gurvis Cresswell, Marie Jennings, Norma Yerg, and Travis Mandel.
Survived by her husband Charles Frusha, Children, Jimmy Yerg, Jan Yerg Calhoun, and Jeff Yerg, Grandchildren, Kristopher Calhoun and Jasmine Yerg; Nephew, James Cresswell, Stepchildren, Dondra Zaunbrecher, Paula O'Neal, and Dana Daughety.
Emma was a student athlete at Satartia High School in which she was a proud member of the basketball team and graduated Valedictorian in her class.
Emma later in life recognized her passion to help others and returned to school to be a Nurse. Her 20 plus year career as a surgical nurse at Beauregard Memorial Hospital allowed her to touch many lives through her service and dedication to others.
In keeping with her life of service and dedication to others, Emma willed her body to LSU Medical School for the furtherance of education and research. Her earthly remains ultimately will be laid to rest alongside her mother, Elsie in Satartia, MS. Mama Ease as affectionately known to her grandchildren, will be greatly missed by all the lives she has touched.
A Celebration of life will be held on June 29, 2025, at New life Baptist Church 3177 US-190 DeRidder, LA 70634 at 2PM.
