Elizabeth "Liz" Renee Myers Wadkins, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on July 8, 1957, in Deridder, Louisiana, to Ora “Joe” and Lera “Keat” Doyle Myers. Elizabeth spent her life cultivating love and joy in her family and community.

As a devoted housewife, Mother, Grandmother, and friend Liz dedicated herself to creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. Her unwavering love served as the foundation of their lives. Liz found happiness in simple pleasures, with special memories made on family trips to the beach, with her many crafting and painting projects, and spending time with her grandchildren and loved ones.


Liz is survived by her husband of 36 years, Joseph Wayne Wadkins of DeRidder, LA, her daughters, Lauren Jordan of Cedar Park TX, Nicole Moore & husband Cody Moore of Leesville, LA, Step-daughters Leigh Wadkins and Laurel Jennings of Anniston, AL, her adored grandchildren, Tyler Powell & fiancé Rhi Smithkors, Kaylee Pew, Jaden Pew, Nathan Jordan, Noah Nguyen, Nickolas Nguyen and great-grandson Jason Smithkors, her sister Lisa Holman & husband Jerry Holman, her brother in law Richard Head Jr, her Aunt Bertie Hughes, cousins Bubba Earl White Jr & wife Tina, Mary Lee Sharp and Angie Erwin, best friends Patricia Freeman and Lou Anna Claveau, and her nieces & nephew that loved her dearly, Amy Head, Dania Clark, Erin & Daniel Ferguson, D’Anna & Jeremy Erwin, Sarah & Ben Thompson, Chris Fear, Jamie Frear & Casey Benton, Wes Myers, Clayton Myers (and all their children that loved Aunt Cookie).


Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will remain in their hearts forever along with her favorite quote “ain’t it funny what makes a memory”.


She is preceded in death by her parents Lera & Ora Myers, her Mother in law & Father in law Phyllis and Laychester Wadkins, her sister Joette Head, her brother Oren “Buck” Myers, her brother in laws James “Jim” Frear and Jim Wadkins and her son in law Christopher Jordan.


Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home, and the family will hold a private memorial service at the Moore residence in Leesville, LA from 4-7pm on Saturday, May 31st, 2025.


In this time of remembrance, may we all find comfort in the love she shared and the beautiful memories that will continue to live on in our hearts. Elizabeth will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
