Edward Childers 83, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed from this life on Friday, June 11, 2010 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Church in DeRidder, Louisiana with Rev. George Glass, Jr., Rev. James Glass and Rev. George Lee Glass officiating. Interment will follow at Sugartown Cemetery in Sugartown, Louisiana.

Edward is survived by Wife: Opal Childers of DeRidder, Louisiana; Daughter: Michelle Rathburn of DeRidder, Louisiana. 

Preceded in death by Mother: Adda A. Koontz; Father: William Orval Childers.
