It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edith Ann Lange Clark, who left us on April 30, 2026. Born on July 24, 1942, to LeRoy and Alice Lange in DeRidder, LA. Ann lived a vibrant life in Deridder, Louisiana, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ann found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending countless hours tending to her garden and watching the birds and squirrels play in the yard. She retired from Brookshire Brothers after working there for 20 years as cook in the deli and always welcoming everyone with a warm smile. Her family was her world, and she poured her heart into everything she did.
She is survived by her daughters, Christy Sheppard (Stanley), Mary Fontenot; and sons, Jimmy Clark (Paula), Larry Clark, Thomas Clark (Sherry); and her two special granddaughters, Kimberley Reider, and Renee Burge (James), who she raised as her own. She was a proud grandmother to twenty grandchildren and thirty-seven great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends will cherish her memory.
Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, Irvin Clark; parents, LeRoy Lange, Sr. and Alice Willis Lange; brother, LeRoy Lange, Jr.; sister-in-law, Mary Sue Lange, Rosemary Clark; grandson, Clint and Brad Sheppard.
A funeral service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Prior to the service, there will be a public viewing from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing friends and family the opportunity to pay their respects. Ann will be laid to rest after the service next to her husband at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer, LA.
We invite all who knew and loved Ann to join us in honoring her memory and sharing the love she brought to our lives. The family would also like to say thanks to All Saints Hospice, for all their care and support towards the family.
