Earline Betty Blakes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Earline Betty McMahon Blakes, who left us on May 17, 2026, in Rosepine, Louisiana. Born on January 20, 1947, in Bancroft, Louisiana, Earline was a dedicated homemaker who poured her heart into her family and passions.

Earline cherished her time spent tending to her plants, bringing beauty to everywhere she went in life. She had a knack for whipping up delicious meals. Whether it was fishing on a sunny afternoon or settling in to watch her favorite TV shows, Earline embraced every moment with joy. She also loved doing her word searches, a pastime that highlighted her sharp mind and cheerful spirit.

Earline is survived by her daughter, Mary Williams and James of DeRidder, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, who will carry forward her memory with warmth and love.

Earline was preceded in death by here son, Thomas "Meatball" Walker; father, Henry McMahon, mother, Bessie White; brothers, John T. Ashworth, Adolph Banks; sister, Earnestine Colton.

Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
