Don Allen Carlisle, 80, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

Don served in the US Army with the 168th Combat Construction Engineers Company A. He was an Industrial Mechanic at Boise Cascade Paper Mill in DeRidder, LA for thirty-four years before retiring. Don was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for more than fifty years. He was a member of the DeRidder Masonic Lodge #271, he was an Eastern Star, and a Shriner of the Habibi Shrine. Don was an avid hunter, fisherman, Nascar fan and a very hard worker. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Karren Tramel Carlisle of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Donna Carlisle Caston and Beau of Walker, LA; son, Lance Carlisle and Crystal of DeRidder, LA; step children, Tony Moreau and Erin of Charlotte, NC, Shannon Moreau and Cindy of Bozeman, MT, Stewart Moreau and Nicole of Vero Beach, FL, Stephanie Higginbotham and Rob of Jupiter, FL; brother, Hank Carlisle of Winslow, IN; sisters, Dee Warner and Phyllis Carlisle, both of Winslow, IN; sisters-in-law, Joanie Carlisle and Judy Carlisle, both of Winslow, IN; grandchildren, Cody Carlisle and Kylie, Chloe Carlisle and Clay Bomboy, Colt Caston; step grandchildren, Alex Moreau, Zach Moreau, Hannah Moreau, Jack Moreau, Emery Higginbotham, Tory Higginbotham and Lexie, Brock Satterfield, Virginia Moreau, Mathurin Moreau; great grandchildren, Lila, Alivia, Demi, Howard, Brantley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Wilhelmina Carlisle; brothers, Larry Carlisle, Fred Carlisle, Hugh Carlisle, Jr., Irving Carlisle; sisters, Patty Crampe, Kaye Drury, Carol Carlisle.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Brother Danny Wilson and Brother Mike Burkes will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Cody Carlisle, Remy Taylor, Colt Caston, Darren Warren, David Hebert, Andrew Alston. Honorary Pallbearers will be One Way Sunday School Class. Burial will follow at Old Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
