Destiny Kenyada Heath, 47, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, July 3, 2023.
Destiny Kenyada Heath was born on June 29th in the year of 1976 to David Jerome Heath and Myrtle Jean Heath in DeRidder, LA.
Destiny leaves to cherish her memories, four children, Dionte Trevon Heath of DeRidder, LA, Jaylen Isiah Heath of Dallas, TX, Christopher Jordan Heath of Deridder, LA, Joshua David Heath of DeRidder, LA. She also leaves to mourn her mother, Myrtle Heath of DeRidder, four brothers, Tony Johnson of Merryville, LA, Calvin Greene (Rhonda) of DeRidder, LA, Erol Wayne Greene (Juareen) of Amarillo, TX, David Heath of DeRidder, LA; six sisters, Sharon Greene Mayes of DeRidder, LA, Debra Jones of DeRidder, LA, Lisa Thomas of DeRidder, LA, Alice Greene of DeRidder, LA, Guamma Goff (Terrell) of Conroe, TX, Lola Williamson (Robert “Will”) of DeRidder, LA; sister-in-law, Marilyn Thomas; grandson, Braxton Heath; two Goddaughters, Morgan Goff and Madison Salinas and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
Destiny was preceded in death by her grandparents, Major & Lola Heath of St. Louis, MO, Wilbert and Edna McClinton of DeRidder, LA; father, David Jerome Heath of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Lionell Greene, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Milton Thomas, Jr. of DeRidder, LA and a special nephew, Cleveland Mayes, Jr. of DeRidder, LA.
Destiny was raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord and was taught the ways of Holiness at an early age. She was a faithful member of The Church of the Living God Pillar and Ground of the Truth in DeRidder, LA, where she received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in the name of Jesus under the leadership of Bishop Hayes Kelly. Destiny served faithfully until the day her Father called her home.
During her elementary, junior high and high school years she attended Beauregard Parish schools. Destiny enjoyed track and field and making her classmates laugh. She was a proud member of DeRidder High School’s graduating class of 1995. She went on to further her education at Northwestern University.
Destiny was a devoted mother to her four sons. She worked tirelessly to make sure they always had what they needed and most of what they wanted. She made sure her sons knew they were loved.
She devoted many years of service working at Subway, Radio Shack, Lake Charles American Press and Walmart. Her dedication and pride were some of the attributes she possessed.
Destiny was a light to those that had the honor of calling her mom, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, Godmother, and friend. Her light, laughter and love will continue to live on through those who loved her most. Our Destiny will truly be missed.
She has received her CROWN.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Grace Church in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Terrell Goff will officiate the service. Burial will be at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
