It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cristi Larkin Baggett, a true force of nature, who left us far too soon on March 27, 2026, at the age of 49. Born on March 1, 1977, in Lake Charles, LA, Cristi was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who was known for her good heart and no-nonsense approach to life. Cristi lived in DeRidder, LA, where she was a familiar face as a bank teller in the financial industry. She was a plainspoken woman-known for her ability to cut through the BS and speak the truth. Cristi loved to travel and find new adventures, especially getting her hands dirty in the garden with her Papa Hank and indulging in delicious burgers and chicken at Master Chef afterward. If there was a skill to be learned, Cristi dove right in, soaking up the wisdom of her grandparents, Cris and Hank, and channeling that hard work into everything she did. Cristi is survived by her loving husband, Dan Baggett of DeRidder, LA; her mother, Sammie Jo Marchie and Mike of DeRidder, LA; her cherished grandmother, Cris Larkin of DeRidder, LA; her daughter, Sydnee Shea Lewis of DeRidder, LA; her son, John-Thomas Brody Lewis of DeRidder, LA; her sister, Robi Larkin Bailey of DeRidder, LA; and her furry pals, Shiloh and Chi Chi, who were always by her side and a host of other family and friends. Cristi was preceded in death by her daddy, Tommy Larkin and Papa Hank Larkin. A funeral service will be held in her honor at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with a public viewing starting at 10:00 AM until the time of service. Pastor George Lee Glass will officiate the service. Cristi will be laid to rest following the service at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville, LA. Cristi touched many lives with her warmth, humor, and genuine friendship. She will be dearly missed but her spirit will live on in the memories we all share. Rest easy, Cristi-you've earned it.
