It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Eugene Jackson, who departed this life on April 16, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on April 10, 1958, in Deridder, Louisiana, to Bennie and Sally Jackson. Christopher embodied a spirit of kindness and compassion that touched all who knew him.
Christopher spent his life cherishing time with his family and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a warm smile. He was a proud truck driver, relishing the freedom of the open road and the opportunity to connect with people across the country. His love for adventure extended beyond driving; he found peace and joy in the simplicity of fishing, believing that time spent by the water was a gift, whether he caught a fish or simply enjoyed the serenity of nature. His laughter and presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Christopher is survived by his mother; Sallie Jackson, children; Leighanna Jackson, Tammy Jackson, Tomarr Jackson, Earl Jackson, Ezekiel Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Chris Jackson, and Jason Cody, Six grandchildren, and sister Gwendolyn and husband Harold Henderson, with host of nieces of nephews.
Christopher was preceded in death by his dad; Bennie Jackson, and sister; Benita Jackson.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Stafford will officiate the service. We invite friends, family, and members of the community to come together to honor Christopher’s life and share in the cherished memories he leaves behind. He will be laid to rest in Starlight Cemetery.
His spirit will forever remain in our hearts, reminding us to cherish every moment and the bonds we forge along the way.
