Charles Timothy Hughes

Charles Timothy Hughes, 65, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away on March 22, 2026. He was born on January 4, 1961, to Charles and Doris Salter Hughes.

Tim was known for his generous heart and willingness to help anyone in need. He would truly give you the shirt off his back. He loved fishing and hunting and spent many happy hours outdoors until a tragic accident resulted in the loss of a limb. Despite this hardship, his strength and spirit left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved him.

Tim is survived by his sister, Carol Hughes Moore and her husband, Kirk Moore; his niece, Tori Anderson Hernandez and her spouse, David Hernandez; his nephew, Jesse Moore of Lake Charles; his great-niece, Emilia Hernandez; his great-nephews, Ethan and Evan Hernandez, all of DeRidder; and Jaxon and Jett Moore of Westlake, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hughes; his mother, Doris Hughes; his sister, Kathy Anderson; and his nephew, Josh Moore.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Pastor Charlie Williams will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 11:00am until the time of the service, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
