Casey Grant Pine

Casey Grant Pine, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 41. Born on March 7, 1984, in West Monroe, Louisiana to Walter Kenneth Pine, Jr. and Allison Simmons Smith. Casey was a devoted son, loyal friend, traveler, sports fanatic and dedicated worker.

Throughout his life, Casey’s greatest joy came from his family. His relationships with those around him were defined by his kind heart, humor, infectious laughter, wittiness, and a genuine desire to uplift others. Casey was a die-hard sports fan of the LSU Tigers, Boston Red Socks, and Houston Astros in proudly displaying his team spirit and passion for college football and baseball. These moments spent cheering alongside friends and family showed his vibrant personality and zest for life.

He was a free bird who loved to fly and travel to different destinations in the United States and see the sites and go to events with his buddies and brother.

 The genius mind he had in physics and equations made him a top and respected dedicated mud engineer in the oil industry, Casey approached his work with the same enthusiasm he brought to his personal life. His commitment to his profession and his innate ability to connect with colleagues and clients alike made him a respected figure in the field. He loved working in Alaska with his work family, and his work family dearly loved him. He immensely enjoyed the Alaskan wildlife and the northern lights.

He is survived by his mother Allison Simmons Smith and husband Greg, brother, Justin Pine, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Casey is preceded in death by his father, Walter Kenneth Pine, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Lewis Cemetery and Visitation will be held on Thursday December 11, 2025, from 1:00pm until the start of the service at 3:00pm.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Casey’s warmth, humor, and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to be part of his life. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
