Carmen Alvarado

Carmen Alvarado, 86, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, December 19, 2019.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sarah Ortiz of DeRidder, LA; brother, Tama Cardona of Hato Rey, PR; sisters, Daisy Cardona Rivera of Baymon, PR, Aida Cardona of Baymon, PR; grandchildren, Frankie Ortiz and Kimberly of Little Rock, AR, Mitzie Corbett and Ben of Moses Lake, WA, Barbara Ortiz and Ralph Salazar of San Antonio, TX;  thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Rosalina Cardona; husband, Ramon Alvarado; son, Francisco Martinez; brothers, Juan Cardona, Luis Cardona and Paul Cardona.

A memorial of life service will be held at The Lighthouse Church in DeRidder, La.  Brother Michael Allen will officiate the service.

Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
