Brian Eugene Halstead, a beloved husband, dedicated soldier, and cherished friend, died on December 27, 2025, at the age of 56 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Born on September 11, 1969, in Renton, Washington, Brian proudly served in the U.S. Army for 22 years, giving his all to a life dedicated to service and camaraderie.
Brian was a retired military veteran who loved the Army, where he found his purpose. He was deeply proud of his service and carried the values he learned in the military into every aspect of his life.
Married for over 27 years to his adoring wife, Angela, Brian's world revolved around her. The pair shared countless moments filled with laughter, adventure, and unconditional love. They were each other's best friends and confidants, and their bond was evident to all who knew them.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Angela Halstead and his sister, Crystal Rova, both of whom will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Brian was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stephen and Carolyn Clements.
A funeral service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, with a public viewing prior to the service starting at 11:00 AM. Father Travis will officiate the service. Following the service, Brian will be laid to rest at 1:30 PM at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
Brian will be remembered for his unwavering dedication and love for his wife, Angela.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of West Louisiana.
