Brenda Joyce Flowers Keel, 63, of Denham Springs, LA passed from this life on Saturday, January 27, 2018.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Burial will follow at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Brother Allen Shird will officiate.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, James “Chris” Long of Denham Springs, LA; Garrel Ray Keel & Missy of Cayce, SC and Jeffery A. Keel & Debbie of Kirbyville, TX; daughters, Cheryl A. Long of Denham Springs, LA; Teresa Johnson of Denham Springs, LA and Jamie Vargas & Silvio of Ocoee, FL; honorary daughter, Amy Gonzalez of Orlando, FL; mother, Barbara Keel of Jasper, TX; brothers, Earl “Eddie” Flowers & Charlotte of Bon Weir, TX; David Keel & Lisa of Merryville, LA and Melvin Keel Jr. & Megan of Lufkin, TX;  sisters, Sharon Gillis & Donald of Bleakwood, TX; B.J. Flowers & Kelly LeBouef of Lake Charles, LA and Elmarine Matin of London, England.  She also had twenty-two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Buddy Keel; son, Charles Long; father; Earl Flowers and sister, Denise Smith.
