It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Brandon Wayne Cole, who left us on January 5, 2026, at the age of 43. Born on September 21, 1982, in Clarksville, TN, Brandon found his home in DeRidder, LA, where he lived a life full of love for his family, faith in the Lord, and a passion for his work as a correctional officer.
Brandon was known for his quiet demeanor, but those who knew him recognized his sharp sense of humor and compassionate spirit. Janice often referred to him as her child of laughter. In his spare time, he loved to dive into video games, tackle crossword puzzles, and cheer on his favorite LSU sports teams.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Janice Cole, brother, Jaceson Cole and wife, Virginia Davis; sister, Lisa Cole, nephew, Seth Davis Cole; fur babies, Piper and Fluff Tail and a host of family and friends.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sidney and Irene Cole and Melton and Pauline Cormier.
Friends and family will gather to honor Brandon's life at the First Baptist Church in Pitkin. A public viewing will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Brother Jimmy Kelley will officiate the service.
Brandon's gentle spirit and infectious laughter will be missed by all who knew him. We invite you to join us in celebrating his life and the joy he brought to those around him.
