Bonnie Berry

Dec 15, 1955 — Jul 19, 2026

DeRidder, Louisiana

Bonnie Young Gill Berry, born on December 15, 1955, in DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in her home on July 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Those who knew Bonnie would describe her as one of the kindest, most genuine person they had ever met. She was tenderhearted, compassionate, loyal, and full of laughter.

Bonnie grew up surrounded by a close, loving family, and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with them.

She was the daughter of the late Billy Jack and June Evelyn Young. Bonnie is survived by her five children: Allison Gill Johnson (Emery), Renee Gill Segura (Troy), Nikki Gill, Nathan Gill, and Jack Berry. She is also survived by her siblings: Connie Young Sidbury, Donna Eaves (Mike), Shirley Spitzer (Kenny) and Glenn Young (Pam). She was blessed with twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren, all of whom carry a piece of Bonnie's warmth and kindness with them.

Above all, Bonnie's Christian faith was the foundation of her life. Her relationship with the Lord guided her and was the source of the quiet strength she carried even on her most difficult days. Her family takes great comfort knowing that she now rests in the arms of her Savior, whole and at peace.
