Bobbie Ann Palmer Franklin of Deridder, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at the age of 66 on October 13, 2025. She was born on April 6, 1959, in Newton, Texas, to Doris Faye Medlock Seastrunk and the late Harrison "Pookie" Palmer. She was the second of eight siblings. Bobbie attended Merryville High School in Merryville, Louisiana, and was previously married to the late Cartez "Coody" Franklin of Newton, Texas.

Bobbie served in multiple capacities during her career across Louisiana and Texas. She resided in DeRidder, Louisiana, concluding her professional journey as a cook at Tri Parish Rehabilitation in Rosepine, Louisiana.

Bobbie was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She took interest in activities such as sewing, cooking, fishing, playing dominoes, dancing, and viewing episodes of Little House on the Prairie. Most notably, she valued hosting family gatherings and commemorating special occasions with her loved ones.

She earned great admiration from many people, and after retiring, devoted herself to her family and friends, with special attention to her cherished mother. The moments they shared have become lasting memories for everyone who knew them.

She is survived by her mother Doris Seastrunk and Joseph of DeRidder, Louisiana; sisters Susie Vallaire, Maxine Stone, Gladys Palmer, Vanessa Palmer (John) Myers, Dianne Palmer (Elric), Shirley Allen, all of DeRidder, Louisiana; brothers Roger "Catfish" Palmer (Regina) of DeRidder, Louisiana, Tyrone Allen (Anthonette) of Austin, Oscar "Man" Isaac (Paulette) of Bell Grade, Texas, Cedric Allen (Johnnie Mae) of Merryville, Louisiana. Reginald Allen of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her companion Artis Colton of DeRidder, Louisiana with a host many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harrison "Pookie" Palmer; her stepmother, Gloria Allen Palmer; her stepbrother, Russell Lee Allen; and her sisters, Susan Allen Weather and Stephanie Palmer Oguntuase.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM and continuing until the funeral service begins at 12:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Pastor Kenneth Seastrunk will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Isaiah Vallaire, Kurtis J. Palmer, Roger Palmer Jr., Elric Thomas, Isaiah Thomas and Cedric McCain. She will be laid to rest at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.
