Billy Nathan Owens

Billy Nathan Owens, 57, of Rosepine, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

Billy loved family bonfires, fishing with his grandchildren, and gardening. He was a practical joker, loved the outdoors and his lap dogs.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Lettie Owens of Rosepine, LA; son, David Patrick Kennedy II and wife Julia of Rosepine LA; daughters, Elaine Wogomon and husband Steve, and Jamie Bjornberg and husband BJ, both of Rosepine, LA; brothers, Alvin Owens and wife Laverne of Alexandria, LA, Danny Owens and wife Kaye of DeRidder, LA, James Owens and wife Jeane of Lake Charles, LA; brother-in-law, Damon Johnson of Rosepine LA; sister-in-law- Fredna Owens of Springhill, LA; grandchildren, Taylor Wogomon, Joseph Kennedy, Stephen Wogomon, Moriah Kennedy, Hannah Kennedy, Trae Bjornberg, Theodore Wogomon and Daniel Bjornberg; and his beloved animals, Claws, Foxy and Beaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend W.H. and Sybil Owens; brother, Teddy Owens; and sister, Lynell Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Rosepine Pentecostal Church in Rosepine, LA from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Rosepine Pentecostal Church.  Rev. Kenneth Gibson and Rev. Dennis Bjornberg will officiate.  Burial will follow at Johnson-Bailey Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
