With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Billy Joe Keel, who departed this life on June 12, 2026. Born on October 21, 1966, to Bruce and Stella Kelly Keel, in DeRidder, LA. Billy lived a life filled with love for family, his faith in Jesus Christ, and a deep passion for LSU sports. 

Billy is survived by his cherished brothers, Steve Keel and David Keel, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

A graveside service will be held at the Old Cypress Cemetery in Deridder, LA, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Brother Joe Maddox will officiate the service. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Billy's life, sharing stories and memories as they gather to honor a man whose joy, compassion, and devoted faith touched all who knew him.

Billy Joe Keel will be laid to rest in the peace of the earth he loved so dearly, surrounded by the beauty of his hometown. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him deeply.
