Betty Jean DeVore Tolar

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Betty Jean DeVore Tolar, a beloved mother and sister, who left us on May 20, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on February 28, 1934, in Merryville, Louisiana, Betty lived a full life and dedicated her years to being a loving homemaker.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Deborah Tolar and Rosalene Wilkins (Guy); son, Arthur Tolar and grandson, Justin Tolar, as well as her brothers, DA DeVore (Betty) and Allen Coleman DeVore. She shared countless memories and laughter with her family, and her spirit will forever remain in their hearts.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Tolar; parents, Daniel Albert and Beulah DeVore; siblings, Alma Whitley, Howard DeVore, Ruth Webb, Ruby Caldwell, Iva Edward, Jimmie Brooks, Russell DeVore and Randy DeVore.

A graveside service will be held in her honor at Cannon Cemetery on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10:00 am, with burial to follow. We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Betty's beautiful life, sharing stories, and remembering the warmth and kindness she brought to everyone she knew.
