Berta Hoffpauir Zumalt, 65, of Pasadena, TX passed from this life on Thursday, August 29, 2013.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Darrell Zumalt of Pasadena, TX; son, Kevin Zumalt and wife Tiarra of Henryville, IN; daughter, Christie Zumalt Carter and husband Brent of Austin, CO; sister, Betty Reeves of Merryville, LA; brothers-in-law, Wilson Swire of Lake Charles, LA, Steven Zumalt and wife Peggie of Cabot, AR and David Zumalt of New Orleans, LA; sister-in-law, Faith Zumalt Ruminer of Cabot AR; grandchildren, Katie Zumalt White and husband Cory, Melanie Zumalt and Tim Zumalt all of Louisville, KY, Misti Carter Neely and husband Aaron of Grand Junction, CO, Trenton Carter of Olathe, CO, Teanna and Hanna Huckleberry, both of Henryville, IN; nephews, Billy Reeves, Michael Reeves and wife Tammy, all of Merryville, LA, Rev. Bradley Swire and wife Kate and daughter, Allison of St. Francisville, LA, Joshua Ruminer and wife Heather of Fayetteville, AR and Caleb Ruminer of Hollywood, CA; niece, Stephanie Stephens and husband Wade of Cabot, AR; great nephews, J.D. Reeves of Merryville, LA, Ryan, Kyle and Tyler Stephens of Cabot, AR; great nieces, Kimmi Reeves Swift and husband Mike of Dover, DE, and Jenna Reeves of Merryville, LA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Sunday, September 1, 2013 from 1:00pm until 3:30pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA with a graveside service following, at 4:00pm at Cannon Cemetery Pavilion at Junction Community, LA.  Rev. Bradley Swire and Rev. Steven Zumalt will officiate.
