Benjamin Joseph Borel, 30, of Rosepine, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Dallas, TX.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amber Chancey Borel of Dry Creek, LA; son, Rylan Joseph Borel of Dry Creek, LA; mother, Gwendolyn Whiddon Borel of Rosepine, LA; father, John Borel Sr. of New Llano, LA; brothers, John Paul Borel Jr. of New Llano, LA, and William “Bick” Borel of Egan, LA; grandmothers, Bobbie Whiddon of Rosepine, LA, and Billie Borel of Leesville, LA; nephew, Keith Borel; niece, Chloe Borel; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Roy Whiddon, and Stanley Joseph Borel, Sr.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services are Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 10:00am at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Dry Creek, LA.  Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.  Rev. Charlie Bailey will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made toward funeral expenses.
