Athen Jarrell

Athen Merle Jarrell, 90, of Evans, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Margaret Jarrell of Evans, LA; sons, Rodney Merle Jarrell and Eddie Glen Jarrell, both of Evans, LA; daughter, Brenda Elaine Maupin of Evans, LA; grandson, Jeffery Glen Jarrell and Amy of Waxahachie, TX; great grandchildren, Grayson Cole Jarrell and Sutton Ann Jarrell; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Christian Jarrell.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 1, 2020, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Jason Fortenberry will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Don Lott, A.W. Henderson, Jr., Jeffery Jarrell, Wacey Sanders, Chuck Kennedy, William Mitcham. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery in Evans, LA.
