Arnold Wesley Robinson, 71, of Galveston, TX, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Arnold Robinson was born to Louella and Johnnie Robinson, Jr. on March 20, 1950 in DeRidder. Arnold graduated from Holy Rosary Catholic School in Lafayette, Class of 1968. He attended George Washington Carver in DeRidder during his early years. He attended Northwestern University in Natchitoches and other colleges such as University of Houston. His major was Architectural Engineering, but he never received his degree. He designed blueprints and models for building contractors, worked at Tremont Hotel as a draftsman for 18 1/2 years and worked for Candy Kings, Inc. He was baptized at an early age at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in DeRidder under the leadership of Rev. W.W. Batiste.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Arnold Scott (Kianna); daughters, Kizzy Scott, Michelle Robinson; mother, Louella Robinson; siblings, Rosetta Robinson-Bowman (Ralph), Sherial Anita Robinson, Johnny Robinson (Cindy), Ernest Bernard Robinson (Julie); grandchildren, Arnold Scott, II, Ayce Scott, Ali Scott, Sedarian Scott, McKaya Robinson, Nyesha Scott; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Robinson, Jr.; brothers, Terry Robinson, Ivan Jerome Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Elliot Ford of St. Matthew Baptist Church in Westlake, LA will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Arnold Scott, Johnathan Robinson, Irving Robinson, Ralph Bowman, Ernest Bernard Robinson. Burial will follow at Community Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
