Arden Rae West

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arden Rae West, who left this world too soon on October 11, 2025, just a couple of weeks after her birth on September 28, 2025. Arden may have been small in size, but she was a fighter through and through, full of sass and an unforgettable personality that lit up the lives of everyone around her.

Arden's family will always remember the stunning solid orange sunset they witnessed on their way home from the hospital, a beautiful reminder of her radiant spirit. Orange was not just her favorite color; it became her signature, representing the warmth and love she brought into their lives, even in her short time on this planet.

Though Arden was with us for only a fleeting moment, she accomplished so much in her brief time and was surrounded by endless love. Her fight has now transformed into a peace that comforts those she leaves behind, especially her devoted mother, Rachel West.

Little Arden is survived by her loving mother, Rachel West of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Sunny Rushing, Luna Rushing and Stella Rushing; grandparents, Dianna and Matt West of DeRidder, LA; great grandparents, Connie and James McCutchen, Jr.; aunts and uncles, Rebecca Williams and Kris Pruett, Matt and Hilary West, Justin and Katlin West, Ryan West, Christopher West and a host of cousins and other family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Carter West; great grandparents, Charlie and Christine West; uncles, James McCutchen, III, Bobby Durham, David Newcomb.

In honor of Arden's spirit, we will hold a memorial service on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Grace Church in DeRidder, LA to celebrate her life and the joy she brought to so many. Join us as we remember and celebrate Arden Rae West, a beautiful soul taken too soon but forever cherished.

A gathering on family and friends will be held after the service at Deridder VFW post 3619.
