Annie Pearl, as she was fondly known, was born on Sunday, July 10, 1955, in DeRidder, Louisiana, to Tommie Mae Pippens and Shelby Jackson. She answered the Lord's call on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Annie Pearl was reared in DeRidder and educated in the Beauregard Parish public school system. She graduated from De Ridder High School with the Class of 1973. Throughout her life, Pearl worked in several places, including home care, nursing facilities, and Popeyes.

Pearl was a devoted member of Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in the Usher Ministry. As she was going through health issues she never failed to ask for prayer. She always said she was alright in the Lord. She trusted God.

She leaves to cherish her fondest memories, Her husband, Ed LeRay Stewart; her son Anthony Taylor; her step children Renee (Cylvester) Wesley, Kizzy Stewart; her grandchildren, Shadrick Taylor, Amaya Taylor, Jasmin Taylor, Jaylon Taylor Shadrick Taylor, Jr, Jahier Taylor, Aundraye Allen, Arya Allen, Shanyia Morgan, Keagan Stewart, Ambrosia Stinson, Collier Wesley; her siblings, Ruby Lee Jackson and Lawerence Jackson; sisters-in-law, Dale Bailey, Virginia Jean Taylor, Loretta Stewart; nieces and nephews, Yvette (Joseph) Taylor, Latisha Jackson, Delaney Jackson, Michael (Tonya) Jackson; many cousins and other family; close friends, Teresa Woods, Shalonda Johnson, Cheryl Battle and Sherry Dorsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Shanita Taylor, her sister Betty Joe Jackson and her grandchildren, Darian Hutchinson and Alexandrie Miller.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Star of Bethlehem Church in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Keith Stevenson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
