Alice Mae Dorsey Jackson, beloved mother, Grandmother, and cherished friend, who left this world on December 19, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on December 2, 1963, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Jessie Kemps and Lola Dorsey. Alice was a lifelong resident of Deridder, where she touched the hearts of many with her vibrant spirit and unwavering generosity with a heart that never stopped giving.
Alice lived her life with a giving heart, always ready to lend a helping hand. She found immense joy in cooking and cleaning, seeing these simple acts as an opportunity to nurture those she loved. Her warmth and kindness knew no bounds; she never met a stranger, and her ability to connect with people made her a beloved figure in her community.
Alice is survived by her sons, Carl Jackson and Brianna Compton, Donvan Jackson and wife Lainesha Williams, and Adrian Dorsey, siblings; James Dorsey and Wanda Richardson, a host of nieces of nephews, and 11grandchildren who carries on her legacy of love and compassion. She instilled in her family the values of care, kindness, and a strong sense of community that will continue to shine through them.
She was preceded in death by; her parents, son; Jonathan Dorsey, and lifelong partner Fleming Tellis.
Funeral services to celebrate Alice's remarkable life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at11:00am in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home, Reverend Frank Williams will officiate. Public viewing will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory. Alice will be laid to rest in Beauregard Cemetery in Deridder, Louisiana.
