December 27, 1961 - May 13, 2015

Vicky Louise Redpath, 53, resident of DeRidder, LA, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Beaumont, TX from a stroke.  Vicky was born December 27, 1961 in Missouri and raised in Morgan City, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dave Redpath; and mother, Vivian Strother.  She is survived by her fiance’, Carl Burk of DeRidder; aunt, Debra Cantrell (Randy) of Baton Rouge; brothers, Brian (Charlotte) Driemeier of Missouri, and Raymond Strother of Baton Rouge; sister, Penny LaCoste (Burt) of Patterson; nieces and nephews, Nicholas LaCoste Sr., Christian (Joel) Neal, Kimberly Lacoste, Deven Vining, Ginger DeGonia, Brian Driemeier Jr, and Nathan Driemeier; plus many more, and great nieces and nephews.  She loved them all.  She is also survived by many great friends.

Vicky was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, loved being outside, and making her yard pretty.  Vicky loved collecting butterflies.  Every time you see one, think of her with fond memories.  Christmas was her favorite holiday as it was just another reason to get together with friends and family.  Even though she never had children of her own, kids loved her and she was Aunt Vicky to many children.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA from 10:00am until 12:00pm, with her friend, an Indian Shaman, Vance Beaver performing the ceremony.  Her friends are asked to come barefooted in a tribute to her, as she didn’t like wearing shoes even though she owned many pairs.
