Nell Valentine Hanchey

Mrs. Nell Valentine Hanchey passed away December 24, 2013 at the home of her son, Allen and Margrit Hanchey.  She was 95 years young. Mrs. Nell was born January 15, 1918 in Bossier City, LA.  She married Chris Hanchey in Proctor, LA on August 12, 1936. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Val Hanchey and Allen Hanchey of DeRidder, LA, two special daughters-in-law, Margrit Hanchey and Gayle Hanchey Wentzel of Deridder; 7 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a very special loved one, Virgil Worthey and family of Houston, TX who always called her Mrs. Nell.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Maude Worsham Valentine, sister, Betty Valentine Norman and family of Houston, TX; 3 brothers, Harry Valentine of Sulphur, Pee Wee Valentine of Bossier City and Carl Valentine of Sulphur; husband Chris C. Hanchey of DeRidder, LA.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 1:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home .  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.  Rev. Lindsey Burns will officiate.
