Vera Frances Schooler Caldwell, 95, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
Frances has been the Grand Marshal of the annual Greater Beauregard Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade (2014) and was a member since the 1960s. She has also served on the Military Affairs Committee for several years. Frances served on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association, the Board of Directors of the American Cancer, Beauregard Parish Library’s Board, Board of Trustees of the Beauregard Memorial Hospital, selected as Mardi Gras Queen in 1994, Board of Directors of City Savings Bank & Trust Company, Beauregard Vernon Sunrise Rotary Club, member of the DeRidder/Fort Polk Area Board of Realtors, and Secretary-Treasurer of Caldwell Housing Corporation. She was an active member of Westview Baptist Church.
She is preceded in her death by her parents, William and Irma Schooler; sister, Joan Gallion; brother, Clifton Schooler; her loving husband William “Bill” Caldwell.
Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Linda Caldwell; sister, Bobbie Baccus; grandchildren, David Caldwell, Chris Caldwell, and Michell Laws; great grandchildren, Britney Flippo, Allie Laws, and Carson Laws.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana.
