Bobbye Lee Cole Temple
February 3, 1930 - September 11, 2011

Bobbye Lee Cole Temple, loving wife and mother, born to parents Mary H. Cole and Seth Louis Cole on February 3, 1930, in DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away on September 11, 2011, in her home, surrounded by friends and family. Mrs. Temple fought a long hard battle with declining health during the past six years.

 

Mrs. Temple was an active member of the First Baptist Church of DeRidder and was employed for many years by Morris Tire Company, Thompson’s Gift Shop and Nolan and Morrison Construction Companies as a bookkeeper. During her youth she was noted for her ability at horseback riding and was a winner in barrel racing events at fairs and rodeos in Texas and Louisiana.

 

Mrs. Temple is survived by her husband, Arthur E. Temple, and two sons, Lee, his wife, Janice, and Lewis, his wife Anna Temple; two sisters and their families, Jo Ann and Bobby Mills; nephews Robert and Mitch Mills; Merle Jopes, and niece Lisa Jopes Sebat, and nephew Sam Jopes; several nieces and nephews; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren

 

Visitation will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home.

 

The family would like to thank St. Patrick’s hospital staff, Hospice of Leesville and Compassion Care of DeRidder.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Faith Quest – First Baptist Building Fund, Gideons or LA Baptist Children’s Home.
