 Natalia Craton Teal, 91, departed this life on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Merryville Nursing Center in Merryville, Louisiana.
 The memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Merryville, Louisiana. Bro. Roderick Martin will officiate.
 Mrs. Teal is survived by; her sister, Patty Sue Craton Spikes of Bancroft, Louisiana. Brothers; Charles T. Craton II of Rome, Georgia, Harold Mason Craton of Seminole, Florida, and Karl Larry Craton of St. Petersburg, Florida. 10 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces & nephews, and 2 great great nieces & nephews.
 

Mrs. Natalia served in the US Navy during World War II.  She was enlisted from March of 1943 through April of 1954.  Mrs Natalia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She traveled extensively and enjoyed playing bridge.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marshall Neil Hardeman

Marshall Neil Hardeman, 73, departed this life on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the University Medical Center of Lafayette, Louisiana surrounded by those who loved him dearly.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home of DeRidder, Louisiana. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery of DeRidder, Louisiana.

Mr. Hardeman was a member of the United States Army. He retired as an aerospace engineer from Lockheed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delcine Hardeman of DeRidder, Lousiana. A son, Marshall Neil Hardeman, II and his wife Mignon C. Hardeman of Atlanta, GA. Also his two brothers

Mabel Franks

Mabel Franks departed this life on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the DeQuincy Memorial Hospital in DeQuincy, Louisiana.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Boxwood Church of Christ in Bivens, Louisiana and will continue on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 9:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Bivens Cemetery.

Survivors include;
Sons: Earl Franks and wife Dorothy of Merryville, Louisiana and Dale Franks and wife Cheryl of Merryville, Louisiana; Daughters: Ina Davison of Many Louisiana, Yvonne Swilley and husband Donald of Belle Chasse, Louisiana, and Evelyn Michel and husband Vic of Belle Chasse, Louisiana; Sisters: Lucy Franks of Merryville and Georgia Hasler of Lone Star, Texas; 9 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren  

Ms. Franks was preceded in death by her husband Herman Franks, a grandson Marty Davison and son in law David Davison.

 Beulah Harriman, 93 departed this life on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at  Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, LA. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 from 5:00 – 9:00PM and Saturday September 20 from 9:00AM – 12:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. The service will begin on  Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Shiloh Primitive Baptist in Rosepine, Louisiana at 2:00PM. Interment will be in  Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, Louisiana with  Elders Perry Miers, Gerald Reid and Truman Keel ministering.

 

Survivors include a Son: Michael Harriman of Houston, Texas; Daughter in Law:  Sharon Harriman of Rosepine, LA 

5 Grandchildren :  Kim Craft, Jeff Harriman, Tim Harriman, Steve Harriman and Kelly Galin 

4 Great Grandchildren:  Austin Craft, Heath Harriman, Adam Harriman and Hunter Harriman 

Beulah's Son, William "Bill" Harriman and Husband, Danford "Dan" Harriman proceeded her in death.

 


 

Peggy Ann Sword

Peggy Ann Sword, 62:

As of Friday, September 12, 2008, Peggy Ann Sword is dancing in the arms of Jesus.

Peggy departed this life in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
                                                                                                                    

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 2:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. There will be no visitation and no burial services.

 

 

Survivors included her loving husband: Bruce Sword of Merryville, LA

1 Son: James Edward Krull, Jr. of Florida

1 Sister: Pinky Betts of Etna, PA

2 Grandchildren

 

Peggy was a second mother to Susan, Lyn, Clay and David. She is also survived by a very special friend, Mary Beane of Merryville, LA. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Bobby Ray Cooper, 66 of Merryville, LA departed this life on  Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, LA.

 

Visitation will begin on  Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. The service will begin Monday, September 8, 2008 at 10:00 am at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA with the Revs. Guy Snyder and Glen Burks officiating.

SURVIVORS: 

Mother: Frankie Smith of DeRidder, LA; Wife: Sue Cooper of Merryville, LA; Son: Shannon Ray Cooper of Las Vegas, NV; Brothers: John Roy Cooper of DeRidder, LA; Brad Smith of DeRidder, LA; Jeff Smith of DeRidder, LA; Dennis Cooper of California; Mike Cooper of California and Danny Cooper of DeRidder, LA; Sisters: Marilyn Cooper of California; Barbara Cooper of DeRidder, LA and Kathy Smith of DeRidder, LA; 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.

 

Preceded in death by his daughter, Mashelle Cooper.

Anderson Dion, 92 of  DeRidder, Louisiana departed this life on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at her residence in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be held on  Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 5pm – 9pm at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder and from 12 pm until service time Monday, September 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM in  Myers Colonial Funeral Home with the Revs.George Glass and Rev. James Glass officiating. Burial will be in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana. 

Survivors include a Son:  George K. Dion of DeRidder, Louisiana;2 Brothers:  Harry Anderson of DeRidder and        Homer Anderson of DeRidder; 1 Sister:  Naomi Glass of DeRidder; 3 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Ms. Dion was preceded in death by her husband:  George O. Dion and by her daughter:  Sable Davis.

On Tuesday,  September 2, 2008, Eleanor S. Snapp, 90, of DeRidder, passed from this life at her residence.    Visitation will be held from 5PM – 9PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.  Funeral Services will be at 3 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Myers Colonial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Burial will be in Whitaker Cemetery of DeRidder, LA. The Revs. Wayne Kite and Tim Bergen will   officiate.

Survivors include:

Sons: Ronnie (Patricia) Snapp of DeRidder, LA and Clyde Snapp of DeRidder, LA; Daughter: Glenna (Jerry) Cooley of DeRidder, LA; Sister: Bernita McLane of New Caney, Texas; 13 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Eleanor was preceded in death by:

Husband: M. H. Snapp; Daughter: Bobbie Simpson; Sons: Jim Snapp, Jerry Snapp and Claude Snapp.
